Adding Songs
Tap the + button to create a new song. Enter a title and your lyrics. You can also add metadata like key, tempo, artist, album, and tags.
Formatting Your Lyrics
Use section headers to organize your lyrics. Wrap section names in square brackets and StageBook will automatically format them.
Section Headers
Type headers like [Verse 1], [Chorus], [Bridge], etc. Chorus sections are automatically indented so they stand out visually.
Inline Chords
Add chords directly in your lyrics. StageBook highlights them so they're easy to spot while performing.
Tags & Organization
Add tags to songs to organize them by genre, mood, era, or anything else. Use tags to quickly filter your library.
Search & Sort
Search your entire library instantly by title, artist, or lyrics content. Sort by title, date added, or date modified.
Favorites
Tap the heart icon to mark songs as favorites. Filter your library to show only favorites when you need quick access to your go-to songs.
Full Screen Mode
Tap the expand icon for a clean, distraction-free view of your lyrics. Big text, no UI clutter — perfect for reading on stage under dim lights.
Transpose
Shift all chords in a song up or down by semitone. Useful when a vocalist needs a different key or you're playing with alternate tuning.
Transpose works on the fly without changing the saved song. Your original key is always preserved.
Streaming Links
Attach links from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or Bandcamp to any song. StageBook auto-detects the service and opens it in the right app with one tap.
